SPECIAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
October 5, 2011
1. The meeting of the orchestra membership was called to order by President Maria Akiyama at 8:35 PM to discus and vote on the proposed changes to the Rain City Symphony Bylaws which had been circulated earlier to the membership.
2. Doug Potter, Board member and Treasurer, read the wording of the proposed Bylaws changes. He noted that there were two major changes proposed: Board members would be elected for two year terms on a staggered basis and the Board members, rather than the orchestra, would elect the officers of the Board. Also the number of Board members would increase to nine.
3. A vote was taken of the membership and the proposal passed unanimously.
4. President Akiyama adjourned the meeting at 8:40 PM
